The #rahimtwins are 12 months and so, so, so inquisitive.
Reading promotes social development and thinking skills which invites babies to look, point, and touch. Even though my twins are only starting to understand simple words,hearing my voice stimulates an interest in different sounds and helps him develop listening skills.
No matter what age, reading together is a great opportunity for cuddling and bonding.
We usually find a quiet place to read where there are limited distractions from our busy household.
I will spread some books and big bro will choose which book we are reading. The twins are at the stage where they love exploring the books, turning it around and opening and closing it.
At a typlical reading session, the twins will only pay attention for a few minutes, but are still hearing words so this helps to build a rich network of words in their brain. I will still continue reading to Zaeem who is always enticed by what will happen at the end of the story.
